Design and Exterior
The 2026 Tiago adopts a significantly sharper and more upright front profile. It features a slimmer grille flanked by re-sculpted, angular LED headlamps and a redesigned front bumper with a larger, more aggressive air intake.
Along the sides, the hatchback gains new 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels finished in brushed metal and black, complemented by subtle black wheel-arch cladding and a blacked-out roof. The rear profile has been cleaned up, now showcasing connected LED tail lamps and a revised roof spoiler to give the car a wider, more planted stance. It is offered in six modern color palettes, including Pangong Pulse, Sobo Surge, and Varanasi Vibrance.
Interior and Technology
Inside, the Tiago abandons its older flowing design for a flatter, horizontal dashboard layout. The centerpiece is a new 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system paired with a standalone digital driver's display behind a modern two-spoke steering wheel. AMT variants also replace the traditional gear lever with a sleek rotary drive selector.
Cabin convenience sees a major upgrade with dual wireless smartphone charging pads, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety has been vastly improved to meet modern expectations: the 2026 Tiago now features six airbags as standard across all variants, alongside Electronic Stability Control (ESC), traction control, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. Top-tier trims further add a segment-first 360-degree surround-view camera and a blind-spot monitor.
Engine and Performance
Mechanically, the 2026 Tiago retains its reliable and proven 1.2-litre (1199 cc), three-cylinder naturally aspirated Revotron engine, available in two fuel configurations:
Petrol:-
Produces approximately 85 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque, offering a refined city driving experience with an ARAI-rated mileage of around 19 kmpl.
CNG (Bi-Fuel):-
Outputs 74 bhp and 96.5 Nm of torque. The Tiago uses Tata’s twin-cylinder CNG technology to preserve usable boot space by placing two smaller tanks beneath the luggage floor.
Transmission:-
Both the petrol and CNG engines can be paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). Notably, the CNG AMT combination now includes paddle shifters for greater driver control.
The Tiago utilizes an independent lower wishbone MacPherson strut front suspension and a twist-beam rear setup, engineered specifically to absorb harsh Indian road conditions while maintaining high-speed stability.
Pricing and Competitors
